Teng should think as a BN man

Penang BN chairman Teng Chang Yeow totally failed to understand the message in Umno vice-president Zahid Hamidi's speech when opening the Balik Pulau Umno division delegates meeting this morning.
Maybe Teng took it from the mind scope of the DAP and the opposition.

He should have realised how Umno has been refraining itself from responding to criticism hurled by its political partners in Barisan Nasional, and Teng himself is of no exception.

Is Teng aware of such criticism made by the MCA, Gerakan and MIC over matters like hudud, Umno-PAS 'possible partnership' in the next general elections and even tough actions taken by the Umno-led government with regards to national security and stability?

Even the suggestion by a member of the royal family for vernacular schools be abolished was turned into a political canon ball to attack Umno. Did Umno react to such attacks? Never!

Barisan Nasional component paries should forget the losses in the last two general elections and adopt Umno's ways to recapture Penang in he upcoming 14th general election.

Singling out Gerakan and MCA, Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the component parties should adopt Umno's culture, tune and machinery to ensure Penang returns to BN.
"Umno is willing to help all component parties to recapture Penang. Umno is not stingy in sharing the party's knowledge.

"All the component parties have to do is to open their doors to accept Umno's help. They cannot continue to be arrogant."

Zahid, who is also deputy prime minister said the term 'small hearted' does not exist in a political dictionary.

And what does Teng understand about Kelantan and Selangor when he remains passive about Penang himself? Being the majority in Penang, why didn't he fully mobilise his machinery to woo the Chinese in the last general election, rather than depending on Umno?

Zahid was not reopening old wounds, neither was he raking the past. Its all about maturity, sincerity and honesty within BN partnership.

While Umno has been refraining itself from making open statements about its political partners in BN, it is rather disheartening to note how its friends in BN enjoy the privilege of the 'free media' to whack Umno by harping on various issues, including by making threatening remarks to leave BN our reviewing their position in the political pact.

Zahid was being very downright and sincere when making the statement, with no intention whatsoever to hurt Umno partners in BN.

It as a sincere brotherhood reminder, unless Teng feels the unnecessary displeasure...
